After reading seen's blog - abt global warming that become more serious topic recently since we really see the impact to the world...n this happen closer & closer to us!
not only London having strong snowing in month of April,
Malaysia weather also become very strange...i remember during CNY, we used to enjoy strong but warm wind...but now, is rainy day...
Glacier start melting... have u seems a adv screen showing polar bear standing on a small piece of broken ice? Ya... they lost habitat. i saw this when laying on my warm sofa...
When i was in Perth, you can sense that they really love the world...
even a pack of toilet roll, they will print a global warming message to remind consumer. mb is because ozon above australia has broken, they become more concious..
their plastic bag usually very thin...n still try avoid using it but a recycle shopping bag...
Yes, malaysia also start promoting such concept...
Jusco & Tesco (two shopping complex i usually go), start selling a recycled cotton bag ...but the funniest part is--those people lack of such concept or education (醒觉性比较恰当).
my colleague bought a recycled bag, but the cashier lady put the newly bought recycle bag into a plastic bag that she used to use; then he remind her saying pls put into the recycle bag... what the cashier did is :
put all goods into plastic bag then put them into the recycle bag!!!
BAKA!!!
recently, we organise a save the tree campaign- minimize printing!! even infront of our photocopy machine we state a remind msg too!!
since i am using laptop, i think recently i didn't print out any paper for work...except claim form (by recycle paper).
If cannot be avoid, we also set print frond & back pages, & two pages in one sheet .(=4pages into one paper) i think this campaign quite successful.
If you think ur company can start doing this, pls convey this concept to ur dear colleagues too^^
i still remember we laugh xiao fei- she used to be a environmental protection society chairman..but her family business is doing plastic...

I do agree with you of the global warming...
So, I did the same as you did in your office...
I copied the documents using the both sided of the A4 paper OR use the recycle paper too...
But, I got the complaints from the Engineers in my office and comments that I am STINGY and WHY I help company to save the paper cost and etc...
Well, I don't care of them and continue on this...
Guess I had practised this last 2 years ago...
Hahahaha! But, still nobody appreciated on this and keep complaint on me... Sigh

by the way... u know wat...pls forgive them..since my Dr titled manager also the same. we updated our work to him via email (paperless), he printed out 5 emails (5 papers) but never use it n throw in dustbin... but we die die pointed out and he apologize la!^^ so wish he won repeat la...sometime we everyone have the common objective, then ur goal will be easier to achieve^^

Maragret, you are correct Australian is doing best to save the environment. That day my colleague's 3 years old son told me to throw the paper into the yellow recycle bin, not into the green color bin, haha i flet abit embarrassed ler....also, every house is reallyy follows the rules in throwing rubbish. I am so impressed!

i used to be angry with one of the japanese boss's wife...since forced me to stay at his house for company paying him loan, then his wife ask me to follow the rubbish disposing schedule!
i was angry last time....now.. okla, i will do rubbish classification liao ;P
this is also considered an improvement duroing growth up, rite? ;>
